Blah

Well, I had a not so successful weekend. I was on track all day Friday until I got sick Friday afternoon which put me in the not wanting to deal with dinner mood. So, hubby fixed dinner for Heather and I. It was still reasonable, a small ranch cut steak with steak sauce, scrambled eggs and krunchie potatoe wedges. These are all items I'm allowed on my points plan so I don't think I did too bad other than not measuring and counting. I did however stick to small portion sizes.

Saturday, we went to lunch and I didn't even TRY to stick to the plan. I had been craving a cheeseburger, so I had one. Then we went grocery shopping and my daughter and I each took home an individually wrapped piece of chocolate cake, which really was TWO servings each! But, I had been craving a cheat time and I allowed it on Saturday and got right back on my plan on Sunday.

Sunday I had an egg, turkey sausage and english muffin for breakfast. Lunch was 1/2 a wheat pita with garden veggie cream cheese and turkey. Dinner was a chicken breast with the bone/skin and bbq sauce, and GG garden vegetable medley veggies. Dessert was a blueberry greek yogurt and 1 cup of fresh blackberries with Splenda. Totals for Sunday: 26 points and 1,362 calories

Monday I had an egg, turkey sausage and english muffin for breakfast. Lunch was LC Thai chicken which was a new experience and one I'm not quite sure if I'll repeat. The sauce really threw me. It was good tasting but odd looking. Dinner was 1 1/2 links of turkey italian sausage with peppers, 1/2 cup roasted garlic and olive oil couscous and 1 cup of squash, zuchinni and onions cooked in 1 tbsp. of Smart Balance Lite (for the whole pan). Dessert was a peach greek yogurt and 1 cup of fresh blackberries with Splenda. Totals for Monday: 23 points and 1,186 calories.

I did a weigh in yesterday and I'm down about 5 more pounds. Last weight I was at 205, yesterday I was 199-200. Almost under 200! I haven't been there in YEARS! But, I'm not going to get too excited because remember I said that I think my scale is off. I'm going to wait until it says about 190 before buying a new one so I won't be too disappointed if I weigh more than its showing.

I'm really enjoying greek yogurt and fresh fruit for my dessert lately. I love the thick, creamy texture of the greek yogurt and it feels like a more healthy snack compared to "diet" ice cream or pudding. And it satisfies my sweet tooth so its a winner!

I have a ton of leftover turkey italian sausage from last night since I'm the only one in the house eating it. I'm thinking about slicing up a link and putting it on top of a pita with some peppers and mushrooms for pizza tonight. Or, what really sounds good is putting it on a wheat bun with peppers and onions and mustard and having some krunchie potatoe wedges with it! Yummy....

Oh, I had to adjust my points too. I had been needing to do so for a while but had avoided it. I lost a point due to going down in weight so I now get 26 points a day. I don't know WHY i'm ill about that because some days I don't even eat them all, but some days I use them right up so I'll have to plan. I'm reserving more of my daily points for dessert at night since the greek yogurts are usually 3 points. Running by the store on the way home today to stock up on more yogurt..my favorite so far is the Chobani. Let me know if you've tried any of the other brands.

Off til tomorrow. Have a great day!

  1. I'm loving the Greek yougurt, too! With frozen bluberries, it's like eating ice cream.

And, One-derland here you come! :D
