Introduction

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Stacy and I'm 37 years old. I have a husband and an 18 year old daughter who is in college. You will see me refer to them quite often on this blog so you should be familiar with them as well. They are Bryan and Heather and my life revolves around them!

About me, I like to collect Barbies and scrapbook. I like to read old 19th century classic novels like Wuthering Heights and Sense & Sensibility. We love movies at our house, going to the movies, renting movies, watching movies on cable..we are really into movies, especially any horror or action movies. I also love anything 80's as far as the movies, music, tv shows. I watch WAY too much t.v. and I love soap operas.

I have started this blog to help with my new lifestyle plan of eating healthy and exercising. I say a new plan but actually it is a plan that I have started and failed at multiple times just like many others who are trying to lose weight. I was inspired by reading Sean's weightloss blog and the blogs of many others who are on this journey to better health and I decided that maybe I would try it and maybe it would help me to be accountable and motivate me to stick to my plan this time around.

Just a few tidbits that might help you understand what you will read on this blog.
I count Weight Watchers points and calories. The Weight Watchers points I count because I have been in the program mulitiple times and it has always worked for me until I quit following it! For my birthday last year, Bryan (the husband) gave me the Weight Watchers at home kit so that I could track my points. I'm not a member at this time but I follow the plan on my own. So, you will hear me refer to points and Weight Watchers (WW) often. I started counting calories about a year ago when I was in school and taking a PE class where we had to log everything we ate and track the calories. By tracking both points and calories I feel like I'm doing a good system of double checking myself.

I don't get online much at night or on the weekends so if you see that I've skipped a few days of blogging and its a weekend then I'll be back soon. If it gets to be a week or more that likely means I've fallen off the wagon and into a pint of Ben & Jerry's so shoot me an email and say what's going on? Since I don't get online at night, I'll likely split my daily posts into 2 parts or be a day behind..like post Monday's daily activities on Tuesday..

I'll also post recipes, meal/snack ideas and any tips that I have for good, low calorie/ low point food options. I love reading other people's blogs and getting food ideas from them so I'll be sure to share mine as well.
