Yes, I know it's Tuesday. But I will likely be posting my stuff a day late so I can include my total daily meals and water intake for the previous day. I had a good food day yesterday. I was really feeling good about myself after sticking to the plan so well over the weekend. YAY ME! I said that already I know but its worth saying again!
Yesterday I was craving a Turkey Taco Salad because I had made one last week and it was so yummy. If you want to know how its done, read my 8/18/10 post. So, I stopped by the grocery store for my ground turkey (had to go to 2 stores to find the all breast ground turkey) and I already had everything else at home. I LOVE this meal because its SO fast and easy. Dinner is ready in about 30 minutes and there's only one pan to clean! That's a bargain folks. And there is enough turkey taco meat left over for dinner tonight.
So, here's how I did with my food yesterday (Monday):
Breakfast: 1 whole egg fried with nonstick spray and 1 slice 2 % cheese on a multigrain english muffin (4 points, 215 calories)
Lunch: Morning Star Farms Garden Veggie Burger on a lite wheat bun with 1 tsp mustard, 1 tbsp ketchup, 1/2 cup shredded lettuce and 1 slice of tomatoe (3 points, 215 calories) and 1 cup grapes (1 point, 90 calories)
Afternoon Snack: none. I usually have one but I was really busy at home with chores and before I knew it, it was time to cook dinner.
Dinner: Turkey Taco Salad with 3 cups shredded lettuce, 1/2 cup grape tomatoes, 3 tbsp. Lite Ranch thinned with 1 tbsp. red wine vinegar, 1/4 cup salsa, 1/3 cup WW shredded Mexican cheese and 5 oz. of ground turkey breast seasoned with taco seasoning (11 points, 444 calories) and 8 multigrain Tostitos to scoop it up! (3 points, 150 calories)
Dessert: Sugar Free Double Chocolate Jello Pudding (1 point, 60 calories)
Totals for the day: 23 points, 1,174 calories and 67.6 oz. of water
Question: Does anyone know that best site online to get accurate calorie information for foods? I have a book from my PE class that lists some foods but I would like a more detailed list.
